Product: Analog Gateway (Or called as FXO or FXS VoIP Gateway too)

Analog Gateway typically connects residential, SMB or enterprise telephony equipment to the service provider VoIP network using an analog connection. This is done by converting the existing TDM interfaces such as FXO, FXS to VoIP. An analog gateway can connect to existing legacy PBXs using FXO interfaces, providing a trunk connection into the PSTN, or alternatively connects analog phones, faxes and modems directly into the VoIP network using FXS interfaces.

Background:

Mass-market VoIP services started in 2004, and has been rapidly grew for recent years.

1.    VoIP Media Gateway from E1 to SIP, connects PSTN and VoIP by conversion between E1 and SIP.

2.    Analog Trunk Gateway from FXO / FXS to SIP, connects PSTN and VoIP by conversion between FXO trunk or FXS extension and SIP.

3.    Wireless Gateway from GSM / CDMA / WCDMA to SIP, connects PSTN and VoIP by conversion between GSM / CDMA / WCDMA and SIP.

Illustrate the solutions of FXO / FXS to SIP

In PSTN or traditional TDM switch network, provides FXO / FXS interface only.

Vice versa, in VoIP network, provides SIP only.

Signaling protocol are different in both side, so connection for both side will be failed.
